Scrap Patchwork Online Workshop Saturday 27th February
Do you have a stash of tiny scraps that are too precious to throw away? Fragments of old projects or antique treasures? I have masses of them and love to make them into my own unique variation of crazy patchwork. In this workshop I will show you how I use the smallest scraps and hand stitch them with subtle and delicate herringbone stitch. This slow, mindful stitching is a perfect ongoing slow stitch project, making the most of small scraps. The patchwork can continue to grow for as long as you want or you can work to a fixed size. You can incorporate the patchwork into a larger piece or use it as a background for other stitch work.
The workshop is a series of pre-recorded practical workshops for you to watch when you want to learn or revise the technique, along with a live introduction and welcome session on Zoom where you can share your stash and talk about textiles with like-minded makers. There will also be a free Facebook group where you can share your work over the course. You will have access to the videos and Facebook group for a month. You only need fabrics and thread for this workshop but full details will be given when you book.
